These go out on an “as needed” basis. They are intended to make you aware of possible legislative actions which impacts broadcasting. They include background information, key contact information, talking points and suggested follow-up.
Each year, radio and television stations must complete and file a large number of forms with the FCC. These alerts remind you of the dates and methods for filing these required reports.
This report details specific instances where stations across the nation have failed to comply with one or more of the FCC’s numerous requirements. They provide complete information about the requirement and any forfeitures.
Mock Inspection Program
The Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP) process begins by filling out a request form located under the services tab on mbaweb.org. An MBA engineer will work with stations to schedule the mock inspection and the FCC will be notified at the beginning and end of the process. The station will have 5 months to complete/pass the inspection and a certificate of compliance will be mailed for each station to display.
This is a monthly e-newsletter that provides details regarding operational, legal, regulatory and judicial actions of importance to broadcasters.
