The Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean and functional facility. Duties are performed by daily ongoing moderate to detail maintenance activities and cleaning of vehicles, outdoor areas and other spaces used by KCTV/KSMO.
Performs preventive building maintenance duties involving electrical, structural, plumbing, HVAC and equipment repair or replacement.
Perform regular maintenance such as oil changes, car washes, tire pressure checks, etc.
Other duties as assigned within the scope of the Facilities Technician role and ensuring building is maintained and safe for all employees and guests.
2 years of general building maintenance experience required.
Minimum one year experience in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
Skilled in using hand and power tools.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Good problem solving skills, mature attitude, works well in a team setting.
Maintain and project a professional appearance as it relates to job performance.
Maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees, supervisor, and the general public.
Complete required record keeping, including checklists of daily work orders and special events.
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
Must have a current driver’s license with a good driving record/proof of insurance.
