Currently, we are taking applications for the following position: Information Technologist (IT)

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Information Technologist (IT) candidate will troubleshoot, maintain, install and repair the IT infrastructure as well as will provide IT support in the Cape Girardeau, MO market. The candidate will also provide IT support for the Mississippi River Radio LLC station cluster in Carterville, IL and Poplar Bluff, MO. The successful candidate will be able to exercise sound judgement, be able to plan & execute projects, be well organized and detail oriented.

The successful candidate will also be required, at MRR LLC expense, to enroll in and complete the Broadcast Engineering Distance Education Course via the Cleveland Institute of Electronics within eighteen (18) months of employment with these objectives:

1) To have a firm understanding of the electronics technology found in Broadcast Engineering along with the increasing presence mobile media and digital audio have in today’s marketplace.
2) To have a firm understanding of the technology of Audio Production including microphones, loudspeakers, mixers, consoles, and control surfaces which will be covered through theory and conceptual discussions.
3) And to be exposed to various audio and video processes including recording, editing and mixing techniques in the companion CD.
4) IT Position will evolve into an Information Technologist/Broadcast Engineer position after MRR LLC hands-on job experience and completion of Broadcast Engineering Distance Education Course.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Minimum two year college level or technical school electronics training certification and/or degree required. Experience with Windows operating systems and Windows Server, Abode Creative Cloud/Adobe Audition 2020 and IT networking and switches also required.
