High School diploma or equivalent, required.
Promotion/Marketing background required. 1+ years preferred. Previous broadcasting preferred.
Driver’s license and insurability. A motor vehicle record check will be run as a part of the hiring process.
Superior verbal written communication skills. Solid writing, proofreading and editing skills with an understanding of how to create, manage content on-air, online and on-location.
Must be a good listener, enthusiastic, detail oriented, proactive, personable, outgoing, creative, and highly organized and a self-starter.
Excellent computer skills. Knowledgeable of diverse applications including word processing, spreadsheets, photo editing and social media.
Ability to think critically and quickly and to articulate information in clear, concise manner to others. Sit and/or stand for extended periods.
Average pushing and pulling, bending and stooping. Lift and carry up to 30 lbs. The Company may make reasonable accommodations to facilitate the ability to perform essential job functions.
Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor as determined by the Market Manager.
Help maintain event calendar of live remotes/broadcasts and street team appearances including station’s event calendar posted on station website, internal sales calendar and internal promotions calendar (Big Picture Calendar)
Coordinate with Promotions Director, engineers, video department and talent to assure promotions and events are successfully completed
Safely drive station vehicles to and from station events. Obey all traﬃc laws.
Maintain station vehicles, its equipment and supplies; cleanliness; to include the generator, sound system, monitor slides, tent, tables, etc.
Responsible for weekly maintenance vehicles checks for all station vehicles. Provide copy of vehicle maintenance reports upon request.
Capture events and special promotions as station photographer
Assist with on-air and website contesting including contacting of winners, prize distribution and grand prize winner paperwork
Sustain station prize inventory and promotional pit area
Request and schedule talent and digital department for photo and video shoots
Upload event photos to station computers, websites, and social media
Assist with management of multiple social media platforms
Act as liaison between Promotion Director and apparel vendors for KSHE merchandise sold both online and at speciﬁc events (KSHE Schtuff)
Accurately and eﬃciently, fulﬁll orders daily for the KSHE online merchandise store (KSHE Schtuff Store)
Coordinate and prep the KSHE Schtuff Store trailer when scheduled to be at events
Sustain Schtuff Store merchandise inventory
Assist on-air personalities, when needed, with on-air giveaways & promotion execution
Oversee recaps for client promotions and events
Manage promotional items cost and design with outside vendors
Assist with key external promotions often on evenings or weekends as directed
Act as liaison between Promotion Director and other departments internally
Look for additional opportunities where stations may grow in the area of visibility and community service
Gathering Data for Annual Industry or Community Award Submissions
