Plan now to attend MBA license renewal workshop
There’s no time like the present for stations to prepare for their upcoming license renewals. Missouri radio and TV stations go through license renewal in 2012 and 2013. Get the facts when Gregg Skall MBA’s Washington Counsel, of law firm Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice presents the MBA License Renewal Webinar.
With your FCC 303-S renewal due at the end of the year, stations should be preparing now to have all their data in order, including preparation for new certifications.
Your ownership and EEO forms have to be in order and on air announcements must begin 60 days before the filing date. Both of those areas have had special issues over the last couple of years that will be addressed. Broadcast1Source’s Lisa Fields will join us for a discussion of the EEO form 396.
The webinar will cover all essential elements of the renewal form and filing in a line-by-line discussion. TV stations should also attend the workshop. Although a year out, TV stations need to prepare even further in advance than radio because they have more obligations -- children’s television for example.
The required electronic renewal filing consists of a series of certifications that require considerable due diligence and planning. If the certifications are not accurate, they could constitute lack of candor before the FCC… the ultimate sin.
